Marseille, a port city in southern France, has been a crossroads of immigration and trade since its founding by the Greeks circa 600 B.C.

GENOA: PORTOFINO - ITALY
Genoa (Genova) is a port city and the capital of northwest Italy’s Liguria region.
It’s known for its central role in maritime trade over many centuries.
In the old town stands the Romanesque Cathedral of San Lorenzo, with its black-and-white-striped facade and frescoed interior.
Narrow lanes open onto monumental squares like Piazza de Ferrari, the site of an iconic bronze fountain and Teatro Carlo Felice opera house.

Civitavecchia: ROME - ITALY
Civitavecchia is a coastal town northwest of Rome, in Italy.
Built-in the 2nd century, the Port of Civitavecchia still retains some of its original features, like the Roman Dock.
The port area also includes the 16th-century Michelangelo Fort.
Nearby, the National Archaeological Museum displays bronze and ceramic artefacts.
Northeast of town is the Terme Taurine, the ruins of a Roman thermal bath complex.

PALERMO: Sicily - ITALY
Palermo is the capital of the Italian island of Sicily.
The 12th-century Palermo Cathedral houses royal tombs, while the huge neoclassical Teatro Massimo is known for opera performances.
Also in the center are the Palazzo dei Normanni, a royal palace started in the 9th century, and the Cappella Palatina, with Byzantine mosaics.
Busy markets include the central Ballarò street market and the Vucciria, near the port.

VALETTA - MALTA
Valletta (or Il-Belt) is the tiny capital of the Mediterranean island nation of Malta.
The walled city was established in the 1500s on a peninsula by the Knights of St. John, a Roman Catholic order.
It’s known for museums, palaces and grand churches.
Baroque landmarks include St. John’s Co-Cathedral, whose opulent interior is home to the Caravaggio masterpiece “The Beheading of Saint John.”

I have managed to get discounted excursions for us all from MSC and will announce these later on although I honestly believe you cant go wrong with the hop on and hop off busses which are available at every port for a price of roughly 19€ per person.
I will update this once this once we have enough interest to make the cruise happen.

insurance
It is a MSC condition of boarding the cruise that everybody has arranged for adequate medical and accident insurance together with cover for repatriation in the event of a medical emergency, COVID and specific cover for cruise holidays.
Travel Insurance including reimbursement of cancellation penalties (if caused by medical reasons affecting the insured, travelling companions or immediate family) , full medical, repatriation, COVID related issues, baggage, money, operator failure and cruise deviation.
Provided by InterMundial Travel insurance available for €49 per person.

- Initial deposit – €300 per person plus insurance if required, upon booking.
- Second payment – 30% of outstanding on 15th November, 2023.
- Final payment – Balance on 15th January, 2024.
