Your exciting cruise aboard the MSC World Europa on March 15th is just around the corner!

PRE CRUISE MEETUP ON FRIDAY MARCH 8TH BETWEEN 10 AM and MIDDay AT SMUGGLERS INN

There will be a meeting at my bar Smugglers Inn on Friday 8th from 10am so you can get any unanswered questions answered and also so we can have all your paperwork printed, checked and ready for you!

I will have a printer setup in the bar just in case any of you need documents printed.

Below you will find information on various aspects of your cruise package, I am sure most of you have received this in your email from Tara but I have also included it below for your reference.

Tara from The Cruise Market will be your point of contact on your cruise just in case you need any assistance.

YOUR PACKAGE

Your package includes the following:

All meals and entertainment (excluding speciality dining). You will be able to dine in the Main dining rooms and the buffets (check the technical sheet attached)
Easy drinks package: a selection of classic or international cocktails, non-alcoholic cocktails and mixed drinks, spirits, house wines, draft beer, soft drinks, fruit juices, mineral water, classic hot drinks and bar service fee. (The bars and cafe’s menu will list the Easy drinks available)

Flights and transfers from Malaga to Barcelona/Return

E-Tickets / check in

Your Flight and Cruise tickets will be sent to you via email over the next couple of days. (You do not need to check-in online for either).

Please make sure to print out both, and bring them with you.

If you do not own a printer you can visit the Smugglers Inn in Nerja on Friday 8th Of March from 10 am and we can print them for you.

Flight times:

Departing Malaga 07.35 – Arriving Barcelona 09.10

Departing Barcelona 19.00 – Arriving Malaga 20.40

check in

You will meet Tara when we get off the coach at Malaga airport.

After you have checked your bags in, we will meet up again at the departure gate. For those requiring assistance, you will go to the Assistance area in the terminal (old terminal), where you will be taken straight through to the gate.

Upon arrival at Barcelona, we will assemble outside arrivals where our transfer to the port will be waiting for us.

We have requested the earliest possible embarkation time, this should be possible around 12.00, early enough for you to have lunch in one of the Buffets (check the MSC information sheet attached).

At ship embarkation, your bags will be taken to your cabins. Please allow time for logistics/baggage handling.

You will then go through check-in where you will be handed your Cruise Card. This is the size of a credit card and will hold your personal information, your cabin number, your evening designated restaurant, your dining time and table.

You will need your cruise card with you at all times, it will also check you in and out at each port.

Disembarkation

Two days before the end of your cruise, you will receive the disembarkation procedures (point of assembly and time) and luggage tags in your cabins.

Please leave labelled luggage outside the cabin door the night before disembarking.

The luggage will be collected and delivered directly in the terminal building during disembarkation.

Disembarkation will most likely happen between 9.00 and 10.00, so you will have time for an early breakfast.

We will once again reassemble in the port Arrivals, and from there will be taken by coach on a sight-seeing tour (approximately four hours) of Barcelona.

You will have free time to take in the city. (luggage can be left on the bus).

We will then be taken to the airport.

OTHER INFORMATION

Onboard Credit:

Once you are onboard, you may wish to register your credit card as no currency will be exchanged onboard. (you may wish to pay for excursions, speciality dining, duty free, etc.)

To activate purchasing with the Cruise Card, you must either register your credit or debit card at the check-in or onboard at the Cruise Card Activation Points, or by leaving a cash deposit at the Reception / Guest Service – immediately after embarkation.

The following debit cards are accepted: Maestro, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, MasterCard debit .

Any amount debited to your card and not spent during your cruise will be reimbursed in cash at the Reception / Guest Service on the final morning before disembarkation.

The Safety drill:

The Safety drills are mandatory and involve the entire crew simulating the evacuation procedure, you will be requested to take your respective life jackets from your cabins and go to the assigned Muster Station where you will receive additional safety instructions. If you dot attend the drill

Onboard Activity and Information:

MSC’s Daily Program is the MSC Cruises’ onboard newsletter.

You will receive the next day’s newsletter in your cabins on the previous night.

These newsletters are essentially a guide to everything that is happening on the cruise each day.

It is a great source of information about both onboard and in-port happenings, and excursion information for each port.

Dress Code:

The dress code is generally casual and practical during the day, smart casual in the evening.

Make sure you bring something warm to wrap up with on deck for the evenings.

There are also themed nights, including Gala night (black tie), and White night (something white!!), 60/70´s night (disco!!) – should you wish to dress up with the appropriate attire.

Things that may come in handy:

Adapters – the ships run on both 110v and 220v.

The plug sockets are American (110v) and European round 2 pin (220v).

If you have a UK plug, bring a 2 pin travel adapter.

Hairdryers are available in the cabin.

Spray bottle – this will be very handy as it is forbidden to take an iron onboard but they are available for use in your cabin.
