LUXOR
Luxor is an Egyptian city built on the ruins of Thebes, the capital of the New Kingdom of Ancient Egypt and the capital of the 4th nome of Upper Egypt. It is located on the east bank of the Nile River, about 200 km north of the First Cataract at Aswan.
ESNA
The city of Esna is located on the banks of the Nile, about 55 km south of Luxor, in the Qena Governorate of Egypt. It was the ancient Iunyt, the capital of the third nome of Upper Egypt, after Hierakonpolis and Eileithyaspolis.
EDFU
Edfu is an Egyptian city located on the west bank of the Nile River, in a wide valley, an ideal location for human settlement as it is safe from the Nile’s annual floods. It has approximately 50,000 inhabitants. It is located about 90 km south of Luxor.
KOM OMBO
Located about 55 km north of Aswan. There you can visit the bilateral temple dedicated to the god Sobek and the god Haroeris, from the Ptolemaic period.
ASWAN
Aswan is the southernmost city in Egypt, located on the east bank of the Nile, at the First Cataract, and is the capital of the governorate of the same name. Its population is approximately 219,017, and it sits at an altitude of 106 meters above sea level.
CAIRO
Cairo is the capital of Egypt and its governorate. It is the largest city in the Arab world, the largest metropolitan region in the Middle East, and the second largest metropolitan region in Africa in terms of area and population (third largest city).

DAY 1
Journey into Ancient Egypt - ARRIVAL IN LUXOR
We begin our adventure with a direct flight from Malaga to Luxor, the ancient city of Thebes – once the glorious capital of the pharaohs.
Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed and transferred to your Nile cruise ship, where your journey through history truly begins…
DAY 2
The Treasures of Luxor & Sailing the Nile
Wake up in the world’s greatest open-air museum and set out to explore Luxor’s extraordinary monuments before sailing along the legendary Nile.
Departure for sightseeing in Luxor.
Visit to the Theban Necropolis: Valley of the Kings, where the tombs of most of the pharaohs of the New Kingdom are located, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979.
The Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the most monumental of those built in the valley and unique in all of Egypt, carved into the steep limestone cliffs that rise above the desert in the Deir el-Bahari Valley, is an extraordinary monument capable of dazzling its visitors.
Stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two gigantic statues of Amenhotep III that stood before his mortuary temple on the west bank of the Nile in Luxor.
Next, visit the Temples of Karnak. The Temple of Karnak is the largest temple complex in Egypt.
This site was the most influential Egyptian religious center for centuries.
The main temple was dedicated to the worship of the god Amun.
Inside, you can admire the Hypostyle Hall with its 134 columns, the Obelisk of Queen Hatshepsut, and the sacred lake.
Continue to the Luxor Temple, which is connected to the Karnak Temple by an impressive avenue of ram-headed sphinxes, located in the heart of ancient Thebes.
The Luxor Temple is one of the most spectacular temples in Egypt and the city’s most important monument.
Return to the ship and sail to Esna to pass through the lock.
VALLEY OF THE KINGS
A royal burial ground hidden in the desert hills, home to the elaborately decorated tombs of Egypt’s most powerful pharaohs.
TEMPLE OF QUEEN HATSHEPSUT
A striking terraced temple carved into cliffs, honoring one of Egypt’s most remarkable female rulers.
COLOSSI OF MEMNON
Two massive stone statues that have stood guard over the Nile’s west bank for over 3,000 years.
Karnak Temple

Temples Along the Nile (EDFU & KOM OMBO)
Sail deeper into Upper Egypt and discover two of the Nile’s most fascinating temples.
Departure for Edfu.
Upon arrival, visit the magnificent Greco-Roman Temple of Edfu, dedicated to Horus, the falcon god.
It is the second largest temple in Egypt and one of the best preserved.
Sail to Kom Ombo and visit its Greco-Roman Temple, dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile god, in the southern half, and Haroeris in the northern half.
It is a unique structure due to its double design.
Temple OF EDFU
One of the best-preserved temples in Egypt, dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed god of protection and kingship.
KOM OMBO Temple
A unique double temple overlooking the Nile, shared by Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus the Elder.
DAY 4
THE BEAUTY OF ASWAN
Arrive in Aswan, a serene city known for its stunning Nile scenery and relaxed atmosphere.
Visit to the High Dam, a very important engineering feat for Egypt, built to control flooding of the Nile River and to generate electricity.
Felucca ride (Egyptian sailboat).
Optional visit to the Abu Simbel complex, an enclave comprised of two temples dedicated to Ramses II and his wife Nefertari, carved into the rock in the 13th century BC.
ASWAN HIGH DAM
A modern engineering marvel that controls the Nile’s flooding and powers much of Egypt.

Discover Egypt’s most famous landmarks and stand before wonders that have inspired the world for millennia.
Visit the Giza Pyramids complex (Khufu: one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, Khafre, and Menkaure), the Sphinx, and the Valley Temple of Khafre.
This is the largest necropolis in Ancient Egypt, with burials dating back to the earliest dynasties.
Afterward, visit the Papyrus Institute.
Free time for shopping or sightseeing.

We will see the Step Pyramid of Djoser (entrance not included), considered the world’s first monumental stone structure.
Next, we will visit one of the mastabas of Saqqara, ancient Egyptian tombs built as burial places for aristocrats and high officials.
The walls of the mastabas are decorated with reliefs and paintings depicting scenes from daily life.
Visit to one of the two pyramids (Unas or Titi), which house the Pyramid Texts from the Book of the Dead.
